*Summer Child Care Schedules*
- If your child’s schedule will be changing for the Summer, please let us know as soon as possible.
- We do have space available in our school age program for this Summer so make sure to spread the word!

*Kids Play Time*
- Sunscreen! Please bring in a bottle of sunscreen labeled with your child’s name on it.
- Appropriate play gear! Now that we are going outside, our Mighty Hill kids should wear clothes and shoes for active play. Flip flops are not allowed on our playground or park (unless at the sprinkler park). We are excited to be outside and be active!!

Friday April 27: Trike-A-Thon
We will be having our annual Trike-A-Thon to benefit the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital! Have your child bring his/her helmet and bike to Hill. If your child does not have a bike or you are not able to get it here — please do not worry!  We will have extra bikes and helmets for this event! The garage will be open at 7am so that you can drop your bike off. This will be a fun filled week as your child will be learning about bike safety with Bikewell Bear and they will be learning about the children at St. Jude that they will be helping.

The event will start at approx. 9:30am and will go until 11:30am. The kids will ride bikes, enjoy easel painting, face painting, participate in card making for our friends at St. Jude Children’s Hospital, and other fun activities we have planned. We will end the morning with a picnic lunch on the playground! If you are interested in joining us or would like to volunteer, please see Ginger.

Valentine’s Day Party Feb 14 – friends will share Valentines, participate in a heart hunt, decorate cookies, and celebrate the many Hill friendships. We are excited for another great Valentine’s Day at Hill! <3

Two Grand Rapids based African drumming ensembles join together for an interactive concert and jam session for all ages featuring music of West Africa!

But before the concert, join us for an art reception featuring the art works of our children here at Hill Child Development Center!! The kids have been working very hard for the last two weeks on their art pieces that will be displayed throughout the church. We are very excited for you to meet our artists and they are excited to show you what they have been working on!

The reception starts at 6pm! See you there!

Winter Conferences:    We have a  ”Sign Up Sheet” for Winter conferences. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet you child’s teachers, look at your child’s portfolio, and go over any questions or discuss concerns you may have.

February 10, 2012: Please mark your calendars!! Our mighty Hill kids will be the featured artists for this months MAJIC concert. Each child will have at least one piece of their own art work displayed in the Narthex area. We plan to have an “artists reception” before the concert, so please invite friends and family to come meet and greet your child! Event starts at 7pm!

Hill Penny Drive: This month we will begin our year long penny drive! Our hope is to collect 400,000 pennies (or $4,000) this year to be used for new or updated technology in the classrooms. We have already received a $1,000  matching grant which will hopefully  increase the total raised to $5,000! Examples of technology use include providing lap tops for all classrooms, large screen monitors for video and computer accessibility, and speakers connected to the server drive. Thank you for your continued support on our Hill projects!

Check out our Hill picture below! Earlier this week, a movie was being filmed outside of our facility and the crew let the kids take a picture by the car they were using in the movie! The kids had a great time watching them film!
